This short article is based on my musings on the human state.
Axolotls & Salamanders
Human beings are axolotls.
Axolotls are the juvenile form of an amphibious South American creature that has become stunted somehow and failes to reach its physical maturity - instead they can now reproduce in the juvenile form we know as axolotls.
We, as human beings, have become diverted from our proper evolution into another, higher form, and instead we live out our (multiple) lives in this stunted axolotl form.
We have truly forgotten that this body is only the tadpole form, pupae or eggshell carrying within it the not-yet-born seed of light that should rightfully transform into its true adult form of godhead, or the salamander.

Some additonal thoughts on this from a few years later. We are entering both the Age of Aquarius, and the Aeon of Horus. Now the Aeon of Horus follows on from the patriarchial Aeon of Osiris, which in turn followed on from the matriarchal Aeon of Isis. Aside from the pros and cons of matriarchal and patriarchal societies that I won't go into here, other than to say that however more pleasant than the patriarchy the matriarchy may have been, I wouldn't wish to live in it. But aside from all that, we can see a progression through female deities and mother figures of authority, to male deities and father figures of authority. In these situations we are indeed children, beseeching mummy or daddy. As I see it, this new Aeon of horus is the age in which we grow up, throw off the burdens of mama and papa authority figures, and learn to take responisbility for ourselves, as a race and as individuals. It could also be seen as the age in which we can come into our adult natures as enlightened creatures - as gods ourselves.
