Journal - Evolution

This is a short essay by myself - my musings on global evolution.

Is evolution a group thing?

if we humanity raise our selves up to a higher plane do we effectively raise the level of consciousness of all Earth life-forms?

Let's say that animals have the limited level of consciousness they do because that is the level at which we communicate/interact with them?

I'm thinking here of the world as a single multi-faceted, living organism, made up of individual organisms, each with their own specialisation.

Now, if we raise our level of consciousness sufficiently and start relating/interacting with other life-forms (animals/plants) from that higher level, wouldn't we also then be relating to a higher level of consciousness in them?

This would fit in with my observations and theories about how animals show more consciousness, self-awareness and intelligence, when they are kept by people who take the time and effort to relate to them in a suitable (spiritual?) manner. I believe that this helps them, or starts them, along the path of spiritual evolution, which, as far as I am concerned is what evolution is!

This theory, of global evolution, could also account for such things as shamanism, and animal spirits communicating with and teaching people. throughout this I am assuming the three-fold nature of humanity and assuming that it likewise applies to all life. That animals are operating from the lower material level, as are some humans.

But the idea is that an entity communicating from a higher level to an entity operating at a lower level, can bring the lower consciousness higher - even if only by suggesting that there is something more, instilling a spirit of restlessness.
